A RAM cleaning tool is a tool that promises to optimise the working memory (RAM) of a computer by removing unused or unneeded programs and data from the RAM. This is intended to create more available memory space, which improves the performance of the computer. However, such a tool can also delete or terminate important system processes that are necessary for the stability of the operating system and other applications and lead to performance problems and crashes. It is therefore better in most cases not to use a RAM cleaning tool and to take other measures instead.
