Memory for Server-Mainboard Supermicro X11SRA
The memory increases the RAM of your Supermicro X11SRA server by 128GB. The offered DDR4 RAM memory has a speed of 2933MHz PC4-23400R 4Rx4 (2S2Rx4). These are RDIMM (ECC Registered) memory modules. The memory module has 288 Pin DIMM and a voltage of 1,2 volt. This computer memory was tested by us for Supermicro X11SRA. This ensures that this memory expansion can also be utilised together with the original RAM used in X11SRA.Information on memory configuration
The following technical specifications should be considered in advance:
- In the device, you can install RDIMM (Registered DIMM) or LRDIMM (Load Reduced DIMM) RAM memory modules. LRDIMM memory is recommended when aiming for large memory capacities.
- RDIMM memory modules cannot be used together with LRDIMM memories.
- If a memory expansion is to be used with existing RAM memories, it must be checked which memory technology (RDIMM / LRDIMM) is already installed in the device.

What is the maximum memory capacity of my Supermicro X11SRA?
The maximum memory size of the X11SRA is 2TB / 512GB according to manufacturer.
The phs memory® option for my Supermicro X11SRA is faster than the existing RAM - Is this a problem?
If your system is limited to a slower memory speed, the "Fallback Speed Setting" in the SPD of the phs memory® RAM-Modules ensures the support of slower memory settings down to the given memory speed.
Why is the maximum RAM amount of phs memory® for X11SRA higher than the maximum RAM limit listed by Supermicro?
The Supermicro X11SRA can be upgrade to a maximum memory capacity of 2TB / 512GB according to manufacturer. This is more than Supermicro has listed in their technical specification. There are different reasons, why more memory is possible:
- improved production processes in the memory technology enable higher memory capacities
- new BIOS-Version support higher memory capacities
- the information of the Supermicro datasheet concerning the maximum RAM amount for the X11SRA is not up to date.
- we tested and verified the higher memory limit in our overRAMing project.
