If your system is limited to a slower memory speed, the "Fallback Speed Setting" in the SPD of the phs memory® RAM-Modules ensures the support of slower memory settings down to the given memory speed.
Why is the maximum RAM amount of phs memory® for CM100-C higher than the maximum RAM limit listed by DFI?
The DFI CM100-C can be upgrade to a maximum memory capacity of 32GB / 16GB according to manufacturer. This is more than DFI has listed in their technical specification. There are different reasons, why more memory is possible:
- improved production processes in the memory technology enable higher memory capacities
- new BIOS-Version support higher memory capacities
- the information of the DFI datasheet concerning the maximum RAM amount for the CM100-C is not up to date.
- we tested and verified the higher memory limit in our overRAMing project.
