Server-Mainboard RAM SupermicroX8STE
The Server-Mainboard-RAM memory expands the memory capacity of Supermicro X8STE by 8GB. The offered DDR3 RAM memory has a speed of 1333MHz PC3-10600E 2Rx8. These are UDIMM ECC (ECC unbuffered) memory modules. The memory has 240 Pin DIMM and works with a voltage of 1,5 volt. This computer memory was tested by us for Supermicro X8STE. This ensures that this memory expansion can also be utilised together with the original RAM used in X8STE.ECC and UDIMM memory modules must not be operated together in one device.

What is the maximum memory capacity of my Supermicro X8STE?
The maximum memory size of the X8STE is 48GB / 24GB according to manufacturer.
The phs memory® option for my Supermicro X8STE is faster than the existing RAM - Is this a problem?
If your system is limited to a slower memory speed, the "Fallback Speed Setting" in the SPD of the phs memory® RAM-Modules ensures the support of slower memory settings down to the given memory speed.
Why is the maximum RAM amount of phs memory® for X8STE higher than the maximum RAM limit listed by Supermicro?
The Supermicro X8STE can be upgrade to a maximum memory capacity of 48GB / 24GB according to manufacturer. This is more than Supermicro has listed in their technical specification. There are different reasons, why more memory is possible:
- improved production processes in the memory technology enable higher memory capacities
- new BIOS-Version support higher memory capacities
- the information of the Supermicro datasheet concerning the maximum RAM amount for the X8STE is not up to date.
- we tested and verified the higher memory limit in our overRAMing project.
