The workstation-RAM memory expands the memory capacity of HP Z240 Tower by 32GB. The memory module has 288 Pin DIMM and a voltage of 1,2 volt. This computer memory was tested by us for HP Z240 Tower. This ensures that this memory expansion can also be utilised together with the original RAM used in Z240 Tower.Information on memory configuration
The following technical specifications should be considered in advance:
- A higher memory clock of the memory module automatically adapts to the memory clock specified by the system. This can be the case especially with larger capacities.

- Non ECC memory modules cannot be used together with ECC memories.
- If a memory expansion is to be made with the already existing RAM memories, it must be checked which memory technology (non ECC / ECC) is already existing in the system.

The HP Z240 Tower can be upgrade to a maximum memory capacity of 128GB / 64GB according to manufacturer. This is more than HP has listed in their technical specificatio. There are different reasons, why more memory is possible:

- new BIOS-Version support higher memory capacities
- the information of the HP datasheet concerning the maximum RAM amount for the Z240 Tower is not up to date.
