The Silicon Power MDA3K0E Series is an M.2 2242 SATA III SSD for industrial applications and embedded systems. The SSD uses 3D TLC NAND in a DRAM-less architecture and is specified for an extended temperature range of -20°C to +75°C. It offers sequential transfer rates of up to 540 MB/s (read) and 520 MB/s (write), as well as standard industrial features such as AES-256 encryption, Power-Shield, and S.M.A.R.T.

Powerful Industrial SSD for Demanding Applications
Technical Highlights in Detail:
Interface and Performance: The SSD uses the SATA III 6.0 Gb/s interface and is backward compatible. Performance figures include sequential read speeds up to 540 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 520 MB/s. Available capacities range from 64 GB to 1 TB.
Reliability and Lifespan: The MDA3K0E Series is designed for permanent deployments. Specifications include an MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of over 3 million hours according to MIL-HDBK-217F. TBW values (Total Bytes Written) range from 86 TB (64GB) to 1,369 TB (1TB) under client workloads. The underlying NAND flash offers 3,000 P/E Cycles (Program/Erase).
Data Security and Management: The feature set includes hardware-based AES-256 encryption. Optional security features include a hardware-based Write Protect via a pin header and a Quick Erase command for secure data deletion.
Environmental Conditions: The SSD is designed for operation in a temperature range of -20°C to +75°C (Normal Grade). A variant for -40°C to +85°C is optionally available. Further environmental specifications include resistance to vibration (20G, 80-2000 Hz) and shock (1,500G, 0.5ms).
Power Supply and Efficiency: Power consumption is a maximum of 360 mA (write) and an average of < 90 mA in idle mode. The DEVSLP mode (Device Sleep) is available if supported by the host system. The Power-Shield technology provides protection against data loss during voltage dips.
Additional Industrial Features: The controller features an LDPC ECC algorithm (Low Density Parity Check) and Bad Block Management. Global Wear Leveling ensures even utilization of memory cells. The Thermal Throttling function regulates performance based on operating temperature. An optional conformal coating according to IPC-A-610E is available upon request.
